QUEEN OF ALL
HEARTS
Innumerable are the titles that are Mary's by the grace and love of the
Eternal Father, and by her faithful and joyous correspondence with
every least grace that came down to her from Heaven. God gave her by
grace all that He could give her that was His by nature. We could go
on and on forever reciting the litany of her titles and praises.
But may we never forget that one title that only man can bestow upon
her, that one realm of which only he can crown her
Queen. Even the Heavenly Father, by His eternal decree, cannot command
in that kingdom, and with longing He waits upon man to crown Him
King, and desiring she desires to receive the diadem of Queen of that
realm of the hearts of men.
To make the Act of Consecration is to
crown her Queen of our Heart, and
to join the Confraternity is to help to extend her dominion.
May she rule over earth and sea and the heavens above, over Patriarchs,
Prophets, Apostles and Evangelists,
Angels and Archangels, Cherubim and Seraphim, but most of all may she
reign over the free wills, the hearts of men, the peerless, the lovely,
the glorious Queen of All Hearts!
"As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odor: and my flowers are
the fruit of honour and riches. I am the mother of fair love, and of
fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the
way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Come
over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits. For my
spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the
honeycomb. My memory is unto everlasting generations. They that eat me,
shall yet hunger: and they that drink me, shall yet thirst. He that
hearkeneth to me, shall not be con- founded: and they that work by me,
shall not sin. They that explain me shall have life everlasting."
(Ecclus. 24:23-31).
