This is the original as it appears  with a great deal of deterioration in our book of Saints.
 We used Corel PhotoPaint 7 filters and brushes to "restore" the image.

We had to remove the tear in the process, so we reapplied tears with Eye Candy's water filter
which does not have a water drop to match the elongated tear Dolci painted. We are pleased that the tears we formulated in the program came out as authentic as they did. A sinle tear drop did not look right somehow.

This painting is considered an excellent likeness of the Saint.

It can take hours to touch up one small image and for this one it took almost 2, and it was worth it.
The Saints merit the time it takes to present them as beautifully as they were originally painted,
even though it is humanly impossible to depict all the glory they give to Almighty God.
