Ven. Pope Pius XII: Official Portrait Mar. 12, 1939 to Oct. 9, 1958 Pope Pius XII's image also appears as a printable download image for the Encyclicals Directory, and is a most special gift from my friend, Bill, who presented me with this large portrait complete with ornate frame, seen above. It hangs in the hall that is the entry to our home chapel. The image needed repair as part of the papal chair was almost invisible and the background non-distinct. We accomplished this by adding the missing part and deleting the background so that only black is visible. This image with wood frame is copyrighted by CT, although the plain, printable version in Encyclicals may be used for any non-profit purpose.
