The Holy Family with St. Elizabeth RAPHAEL c. 1503

This image is not the best kind of old calendar image suitable for web display, but we decided to include it anyway; there was no way to improve the color contrast without distorting the rest of the composition. This is one of Raphael's more unusual Holy Family images: the absence of St. John the Baptist in the immediate foreground-----it is possible that the complete image may depict him below; we can safely assume that the figure to the left of Our Lady is St. Zachary although the citation on the calendar does not say so.
