TADDEO DI BARTOLO
c. 1400
Unfortunately we do not possess the full image.
The Italian artist, who lived between [circa] 1362 and 1422, is classified as a Gothic painter.
Gothic art which was produced in Northern Europe from the
middle ages up until the beginning of the Renaissance, is characterized
by its religious devotion, and earned a celebrated reputation for the
distinctive arched design of its churches, its stained glass,
illuminated manuscripts, and icon-like figures. We retained the color
tones throughout. Some of our visitors have expressed an interest in
having images with less yellow pigment. For this gallery we are
endeavoring to stay as close to the original color used by the artist as
possible.
