Revered for his exquisite Madonnas, Luini was an Italian Renaissance
artist who lived and worked out of Milan and was one of Leonardo da
Vinci’s leading followers. The details of his life are unknown but his
extant work proves that he must have had a successful career. Many of
his paintings are located in the Brera in Milan and also his frescoes
and altarpieces adorn many churches in the city.
